Rs 10 cr to be spent on expansion of road network in Narwana: Dy CM

Taking this step ahead, new development initiatives are being launched in Narwana constituency as well. He said that with the aim of providing better connectivity to the adjoining villages of Narwana assembly constituency, an amount of more than Rs. 10 crore would be spent on the construction, expansion and renovation of various connecting roads. The Deputy Chief Minister said this while addressing a public gathering organized at the Government Senior Secondary School in Pipaltha village of Jind district today. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Ujhana-Pipaltha road will be constructed from the National Highway, which will cost around Rs. 2. 25 crore. Apart from this, the 2.5 kilometer long Pipaltha to Garhi Jok road will also be renovated by spending Rs. 62 lakh. Besides this, the tenders for renovation of three and a half kilometer long road from Pipaltha to Punjab border has been floated. The Deputy Chief Minister further informed that all connecting roads including Kalwan- Maha singh wala, Naraingarh- Guladi, Rasida will be reconstructed soon. He informed that all the connecting roads have been inaugurated today and the renovation and construction of these roads will be completed in the next three months. Dushyant Chautala also assured the construction of village secretariat and community centre in the village after the panchayat makes land available for it. He asked the officials of the Public Health Department to prepare a proposal for providing clean drinking water. Along with this, he also announced plans to construct an e-library along with the arrangement of solar power supply in the schools. The Deputy Chief Minister said that for the last three and a half years, he has been engaged in making consistent efforts for the welfare of the rural people. He is making efforts to provide state-of-the-art facilities in the villages to the tune of cities across Haryana. He said that construction of e-libraries, village secretariats, gymnasiums, parks, stadiums and community centres at the village level is a good beginning in the direction of rural development. Earlier, while addressing the villagers in Dhakal village of Jind district, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the beautification work of village pond would be done at a cost of Rs. 2.17 crore. He directed the officers to make efforts to complete this work before the rainy season. Apart from this, efforts will be made in future to connect the pilgrimage of the village with the Kurukshetra Development Board. He said that a community centre will also be set up in the village after the land is offered by the panchayat. (editor dailyworld.in)
