DW BUREAU / Chandigarh A meeting of The Water Supply Workers Union MC was held under the banner of Joint Action Committee of Chandigarh Administration and MC Employees and Workers, in Sector 32 on Wednesday. The members decided that all employees will be involved in the third 'Matka fod' demonstration to be held in front of MC Office building Sector 17 on the call of Joint Action Committee. Addressing the meeting, Joint Action Committee'+ char(39) +'s Convenor Ashwani Kumar, Union Chairman Bajrangi Verma, and others said that the administration and MC officials have been unable to meet the demands of the employees, due to which employees are filled with resentment . Ashwani Kumar demanded that in order to prevent exploitation of the outsourcing workers, a safe policy should be made, give equal work equal pay, labour laws should be implemented, the employees who were recruited after December 1996 should be included in the policy made by the administration on March 13, 2015 and should be regularized, along with other demands (editor@dailyworld.in)
