The dignitaries present on the occasion were V.K Gupta former District and session Judge Himachal Pradesh and Advocate Rajinder Kumar Smayal Punjab and Haryan High court Prof. (Dr.) Param Jeet Singh visiting professor of the institution in his welcome address highlighted the achievement of V.K Gupta He informed that V.K Gupta was also Chairman of permanent lok Adalat and also was a faculty member of Judicial Academy at Chandigarh. He highlighted that there is no short-cut for achieving a position through Competitive Examination and the students will have to put complete dedication for their success. V.K Gupta emphasized the student must develop the habit of writing and preparing notes if they are preparing for Competitive Examination. He stressed upon that the student must concentrate in their classroom studies and be careful of the various lectures being taught. He also shared his experience with the student when he was preparing for the Judicial Competitive Examination. Advocate Rajinder Kumar Smayal enlightened the students about various opportunities available in law field. He highlighted that there is no better option than to become a Judicial Officer. He cautioned the student that their parents have great hopes from them and they must work very hard in their career building. He also discussed in brief the principle of doctrine of Res Judicata and the principle behind the Dying Declaration. Dr.Inderpreet Kaur Principal of Universal Law College presented vote of thanks. She said that the students as well as the faculty members feel honored by the presence of V.K Gupta and Advocate Rajinder Kumar Smayal. She expressed her determination that in future the department would keep on organizing such activities in the interest of the students.
