PSPCL committed to provide daily 8 hrs power to agri consumers: CMD

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) Chairman-Cum-Managing Director A. Venu Prasad on Monday said that the Corporation was committed to provide daily eight hours uninterrupted power supply to its 14 lakh agriculture tubewell consumers in the state during the coming paddy season starting from June 10 and also provide 24 hours uninterrupted power supply to all other categories of consumers. "We have already made comprehensive arrangements to cater to the power supply to our consumers," he added.
The PSPCL CMD assured that all esteemed consumers of the Corporation would be provided continued, uninterrupted and quality power supply in Punjab. He said that daily power supply to all AP consumers in the state had been divided into three groups at each sub-station. He said that AP consumers of the Corporation would be provided 8 hours power supply in day timings along with the international border of Punjab.
The CMD informed that directions have also been issued to the officers and officials not to leave their headquarters during the paddy season. In order to update the status of power supply position and to redress complaints of the consumers, special control rooms are being set up at the Zonal levels and at Head Office, Patiala, he added.

Prasad further said that consumers could also book their complaints by giving a missed call on the PSPCL toll free number 1800-180-1512. In addition to these phone numbers, consumers can also register their electricity related complaints via phone number 1912 by SMS or phone call, he added.
