DW BUREAU / Chandigarh The farmers from different villages and cities and different institutes of the city, on Saturday marched , under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union in Sector 17 Plaza, in favour of the farmers protesting in Delhi from the November 26 by illuminating candles to show support to the farmers and raised slogans of Jai Kisan. Congress councilor Devinder Singh Babla took the initiative of getting everyone under one non-political platform in favour of the farmers. Famous Punjabi actor Gurpreet Ghughi , Savita Bhatti, former Union Minister Harmohan Dhawan, Gurpartap Singh Riar Manish Bansal, son of Pawan Bansal, Councilor Gurbaksh Rawat, Sarpanch Devinder Lubana Union leader Naseeb Jakhar. Shashi Shankar Tiwari Kulbir Singh. Baljinder Singh Bittu, union leader and Ajay Sharma also joined the protest. The protestors raised slogans for taking back the farm laws. The protesters said that the demand of farmers is justified and the government should listen to the farmers and withdraw the law. They said that they will support this and on Monday will march to Delhi to join farmers and distribute ration to the farmers.
