category Regional,, tags Regional,, DW BUREAU The annual prize distribution function of Government College, Machhiwara, for the academic year 2023-2024 was held in the presence of Principal Dr Jaspal Singh. Media incharge Prof Binita Jhanji informed that Dr Ashwani Bhalla and Dr Harjinder Singh, Deputy Director, Colleges Punjabm, were the chief guest and Prof Deepak Chopra, Principal, Government College East Ludhiana, participated as special guests. After starting the function with Shabad, Principal Dr Jaspal Singh formally welcomed the guests and reading the annual report of the college, he listed the achievements of the students. Dr. Jaspal Singh informed the guest about the requirements of the college. Dr. Ashwani Bhalla and Dr. Harjinder Singh in their address congratulated the awardees and wished them more success in the future and assured that they will try to solve all the problems on priority basis. Prof. Deepak Chopra, during his talk, took a pledge from the students that they will always work hard and achieve new heights. In this prize distribution ceremony a total of 200 students were honoured for excelling in the fields of academics, literary and cultural fields. Gurjit Kaur and Parminder Singh were selected as the best NSS cadets and Manpreet Singh and Rhea Sharma as the best students. SK Kundra, S.
