Preneet Kaur hands over proprietary rights papers

Former Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Lok Sabha Member from Patiala Preneet Kaur, today, handed over Proprietary Rights to 146 beneficiaries of Rori Kut Mohalla at MC Office.
She was accompanied by Biba Jia Inder Kaur, Mayor Sanjeev Sharma Bittu, MC Commissioner, Punamdeep Kaur, Councilors and prominent leaders. The MP said that with the power given by the people, the Punjab government under the leadership of Capt Amarinder Singh has been able to fulfill the promises made to them.
Preneet Kaur said that development of rural as well as urban population has always been a priority agenda of the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government, under which initiatives like Urban Environment Improvement Programme and Basera Scheme have improved the living standards of the urban population.
She said that giving proprietary rights to the slum dwellers was not only an election promise of the Congress party but also a dream of Capt Amarinder Singh which was fulfilled by the Punjab government and benefited 1 lakh people of the state.
Preneet Kaur said that Capt Amarinder Singh government had done all round development in the last four and half years in Patiala city which had suffered from neglect for the 10 years regime of the previous government. She also appealed to the people to beware of the false propaganda of the opposition parties and support the Captain's government.
Preneet Kaur said that Capt Amarinder Singh led state government has become the leading government to take such a unique initiative by launching 'Basera Scheme' for the welfare of the poor and needy people of the state who were devoid of the right of their own homes for decades. Mayor Sanjeev Sharma Bittu said that the Punjab government has passed a historical law to provide shelter to these homeless people and provide them with their own roof on their heads. He said that Preneet Kaur strongly advocated for these people under which the needy people living in slums could get the right of ownership of their existing houses.
