DW BUREAU / Patiala Deputy commissioner Sakshi Sawhney rolled out the plans for the new year 2023 in a special meeting with the media. She announced that Patiala District will get new projects besides completing old projects started in the previous year. She was addressing a meeting with the media in the new year when she recognised the role of media in the shape of feedback which enables district administration to problem-solving in the public interest. DC Patiala outlined the projects which are to be completed under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. These included a new bus stand, 24-hour water supply, renovation of the Art and medal gallery at Sheesh Mahal. Sakshi Sawhney told about tentative dates and events like Patiala Heritage Festival, Art Festival and Army Literature Festival to name a few. She apprised that Patiala will be reflected on the world heritage map and soon become an attraction for tourists. She promised a better road network and parking facilities for public convenience. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Gautam Jain, Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Naman Markan, SDM Samana Charanjit Singh, Assistant Commissioner (G) and SDM Dudhan Sadhan Kirpalveer Singh, District Public Relations Officer Haaqem Thapar and other officials were also present on the occasion.
