DW BUREAU Manpreet Singh Jalhanpur has been appointed president of Youth Congress Samrala legislative assembly sagment by the Punjab Youth Congress president Barinder Singh Dhillon. The appointment letter of his elevation was handed over by Rupinder Singh Raja Gill, incharge of Samrala halqua, at an impressive function organised by the fellow workers. After getting appointed he along with other leaders went to pay respects at Gurudwara Charan Kanwal Sahib at Mchhiwara Sahib. Jalhanpur said he will organise the party by forming Youth Congress units in the villages. He appreciated the working of Rupinder Singh Raja Gill and said that Raja Gill has strengthened the party in a very short span in this assembly sagment. While criticizing the AAP functioning in the state he said that ruling party had not come up to the aspirations of the people of Punjab. All thier promises which were made during the election campaign had been now forgotten. He said even chief minister Bhagwat Mann has lost his own seat of Sangrur. Now the people of Punjab were feeling cheated in the hands of AAP he said. He said the people of Punjab now again wanted the Congress to return to power. He said Congress will win the coming parliamentary elections of 2024. He assured his fellow workers and people of the assembly sagment that he will leave no stone unturned while serving the general public.
