The new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Khanna Ashwini Gotyal, stated that top priority will be given to preventing and curbing crime in cities and villages, as well as promptly resolving the issues of the public.

After taking charge on Saturday as new Senior Superintendent of Police in Khanna, she said that Punjab Police has a proud tradition of serving the nation and society, which will be maintained through all possible efforts.

Discussing the efforts to maintain law and order, she mentioned that a list of criminals will be prepared in stages and strict vigilance will be kept on them. She also emphasized that the fight against drugs will be intensified in both cities and villages to eradicate this menace. She further stated that an effective strategy will be formulated to control city traffic, with a thorough examination of traffic management.

Additionally, she mentioned that the PCR (Police Control Room) system will be further enhanced to handle any emergency situations in the city, and public dealing in police stations will be improved. She added that providing an efficient, accountable, and transparent police system will also be a priority, for which suggestions will be taken from the public. Steps will also be taken for the welfare of the police force personnel and their family members. She assured that every possible effort will be made to ensure the safety of the elderly in cities and villages.
