Labour dept introduces innovative reforms

Haryana Labour Department in an unprecedented move towards simplifying processes for workers and enhancing the efficiency of benefit applications has introduced a series of innovative reforms. These reforms are designed to streamline communications, objections, and rejections related to benefit applications, thereby significantly reducing processing times.
Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson said that recognising the challenges workers face in the documentation and procedural requirements, the department Brainstormed the issue and thereinafter introduced a clear flow chart and decision tree with colour coding of all Different Types of communications. This initiative is aimed at better communication, Clarity in decision making and facilitating a smoother, more intuitive, error-free and easier processing of all applications.
The spokesperson said that a major shift towards digital transformation has been made with undertakings filled by workers, as now undertakings will be filled online and verified through a one-time password (OTP) system. This digital leap enhances security and ensures a seamless verification process. Additionally, the department has minimised the requirements for form filling by enabling auto-filling of information, thereby saving time and reducing errors. This process has eliminated many types of objections over undertakings to be filled by workers. This initiative will help both workers and the Board to speed up processing and making decisions.
The spokesperson stated that in a bid to further streamline the process, the standardisation of objections has been introduced. This measure will curtail vague objections and consequent delays, ensuring faster and more efficient application processing. Moreover, the points of objections and rejections have been thoroughly revised following extensive discussions, language was simplified to ensure ease of understanding for all applicants. Marking a path-breaking initiative, the document upload process has been simplified to mirror the user-friendliness of popular messaging apps like WhatsApp, enabling effortless clicking and uploading of necessary documents, spokesperson added. The spokesperson said that these reforms reflect the Haryana Labour Department's commitment to leveraging technology for the benefit of its workforce, setting a new standard in labour welfare and administrative efficiency.
