Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is making continuous efforts to improve the standard of education in the state. Taking this step forward, Haryana has set a target to completely implement the New Education Policy-2020 by the year 2025. There has been a major improvement in the standard of education during the tenure of the present state government.
The Chief Minister was interacting with the media persons after meeting with the delegation of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Haryana (Higher Education Cadre) in Panchkula today.
Responding to a query raised by media persons, the Chief Minister said that some schools have been merged by the state government in the ratio of students to teachers. It is worth mentioning that there is no shortage of teachers in any school. Deployment of teachers has been ensured institutionally only in proportion to the number
of students.
He said that the online teacher transfer policy of Haryana Government is being appreciated by other states in the country and they are following it. 90% of the teachers transferred under this policy are getting the top-3 options chosen by them and the teachers are satisfied with the policy. However, if any case related to shortage of teachers is approaching before the government, then immediate cognizance is being taken to redress the matter.
He said that the government would soon recruit more teachers. Till regular recruitment, the shortage of teachers will also be filled through Haryana Skill Development Corporation.
Responding to another question regarding the pension issue of a 102-year-old, the Chief Minister said that orders have been given to the Additional Deputy Commissioners to resolve the matter. He said that for redressal of pension related grievances, there is a grievance redressal forum at the level of Additional Deputy Commissioner, through which all grievances are
resolved.
The Chief Minister made it clear that if anyone receives pension in an unfair way, it will not be tolerated. However, during the tenure of Congress Government, recovery was not carried from defaulters by issuing notices to them. The aim of the present state government is to provide the benefits of government facilities to the eligible person only in a transparent manner, he added.
