Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday called upon the people to repeat the history by ensuring victory of Aam Aadmi party on all the 13 Lok Sabha seats of the state.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that he was blessed to have got the opportunity to be here amongst the traders from the holy city. He said that credit of bringing common people at the centre stage of Indian polity goes to Arvind Kejriwal, who has forced the parties to change their agendas as per need of people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that instead of Sankalp Pattars or election manifestos, the political parties are now giving guarantees of welfare to the people.
The Chief Minister said that the Delhi Chief Minister had brought a paradigm shift in politics by introducing value based politics by rejecting divisive politics. He said that due to their misdeeds leaders like Sukhbir Badal, Bajwa, Majithia and others had distanced themselves from the people on the name of security reasons. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this trend has changed in the last two years as now frequent deliberations across the table are being held amongst every section of the society and the government.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is fully committed for the well being of every section of the society and no stone is being left unturned for this. He said that Arvind Kejriwal is a living legend who had left his lucrative and coveted job of IRS officer just for the service of the nation and its people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that they are just following the footsteps of the legendary martyrs like Shaheed Bhagat Singh and others to serve the nation.
The Chief Minister said that in the last 25 years only two people had ruled the state and exploited its resources for their vested personal interests.
He said that out of these five two were from one family whereas two were from another one who plundered the wealth of the state and its people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these people mercilessly looted the state for their vested political interests thereby hampering the development of the state.
