Gita Mahotsav-2023: Tourists can purchase gifts presented to CM

The gifts will be kept at stall number 13 and 14 and will also be the centre of attraction of the Saras mela. He stated that the money generated from the sale of the Chief Minister s gifts would be used to support the Chief Minister s Relief Fund as well as other government public welfare programmes. He mentioned that Chief Minister Manohar Lal initiated the Mukhyamantri Uphaar Yojana for societal welfare. In the initial phase of this scheme in January, people contributed a total of Rs.1,14,95,000 for 51 gifts. This sum was deposited into the Chief Minister s Relief Fund for social welfare purposes. Now, as part of this Uphaar Yojana, the included gifts are displayed at the Saras fair on the banks of Brahma Sarovar. Bhupeshwar Dayal said that tourists can acquire these gifts at fixed prices during the Mahotsav and will be kept in stall numbers 13 and 14 in front of Sarveshwar Mahadev Temple in the crafts fair. He mentioned that the Gita Mahotsav attracts lakhs of people each year since gaining international recognition in 2014. To spread Gita s message around the world, the International Gita Mahotsav is being held in countries such as Canada, Australia, England, and Mauritius, with significant participation. He said that stalls are being prepared to exhibit these gifts at the Saras fair, with prices set by the committee for interested buyers. The proceeds from these sales will be deposited into the Chief Minister s Relief Fund, contributing to societal welfare. (editor dailyworld.in)
