DW BUREAU /Mohali: The 75th Independence Day was celebrated at the Rayat Bahra University with enthusiasm and gaiety. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, unfurled the National Flag. Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Parvinder Singh was present. Speaking on the occasion, Bahra paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters who made supreme sacrifices. Dr. Parvinder Singh underlined the need to provide the right education to the students who were the future of the country. He recalled how thousands of people suffered during Partition. Freedom fighters were remembered on this occasion. Patriotic fevour marked the occasion even as a brief variety programme was also presented.The Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University felicitated its employees.
