category Regional,, tags Regional,, DW BUREAU University School of Allied Health Sciences (USAHS) of the Rayat Bahra University organized an expert talk on Career Progression, Ethics and Values, future avenues in Radiology Imaging Technology by Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Team lead, a Senior Radiographer, Nuffield Health Hospital, Guildford, Surrey, England. A large number of students attended the event. Sharma had an interactive session with the Medical Radiology Imaging Technology students as well as the faculty of the USAHS regarding the possible career progression outside India. Dr Pankaj Kaul, Dean of the University School of Allied Health Sciences (USAHS), welcomed the guest of honor and presented him with a bouquet. Sharma discussed the topics on patient radiation safety, proper radiography techniques and their ethics to handle the patients with special reference to quality and management. He also spoke about the future prospects and practice in the field of radiology technology especially general radiology, interventional radiology, CT scan, MRI etc. in England. During the talk Rajesh Sharma motivated the students to explore the avenues of radiology not only in India but abroad too. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Lalit Kumar Gupta, Head of the Department of Radiology and Imaging Technology, USAHS. Joseph, Sarabjeet and other faculty members of the USAHS also attended the expert talk. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University and Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, lauded the initiative of the University School of Allied Health Sciences and expressed optimism that such expert talks would help the students keep updated about latest developments and innovations in their respective fields of study.
