DW BUREAU The PSEB Engineers Association has decided that all the power engineers will switch off their mobiles from Monday morning indefinitely and will refuse to perform duties of subordinates from December 1 due to non fulfilment of the agreed genuine demands and to improve conditions under which engineers are performing emergency duties. The executive committee at its meeting strongly condemned the inhuman attitude of management where engineers have been forced to perform duties of subordinate staff at remote places to avoid possible blackout in the state without any help from the management for the last 12 days. Further the management has failed to meet the already agreed issue to grant Rs 5500 to all eligible assistant engineers from 2016 as decided earlier. The Association is a press release alleged that the period which was to be utilised for planning, upgrading, and preparing the power system for the next paddy season has been wasted due to the adamant attitude of the management. The billing and collection of corporations has also been severely affected. (editor@dailyworld.in)
