Dushyant unveils statue of Dr Ambedkar in Sonipat village

Dushyant Chautala, paid homage to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, by unveiling his statue in Baroli village, Sonipat. He also announced the construction of a digital library on the vacant land beside the statue, urging the panchayat to submit a proposal soon. Addressing the public on the occasion, Sh. Chautala said he and his government are drawing inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar for development. Despite facing hardships in his struggle for education, Dr. Ambedkar earned degrees even abroad and then penned the Constitution that binds India together. Today, because of that Constitution, our nation stands united and progresses on the world stage, said the Deputy Chief Minister. Chautala acknowledged Dr. Ambedkar s contribution in uniting the nation and emphasised the need for unity for the country s progress and all-round development. Chautala said that he set the target of building 107 libraries on former Chief Minister, Late, Sh.Devi Lal s 107th birthday, with 135 already completed and over 1,000 being built by the state government. He highlighted the goal of comprehensive state development, citing the increase in grants to gram panchayats from Rs. 1250 to Rs. 2000 per person, which has helped boost village development works. Regarding Yamuna river erosion due to floods, Sh. Chautala mentioned his visit to affected areas and the allocation of Rs.270 crore for embankment construction from Yamunanagar to Palwal. Nine embankments have been approved for Baroli too. The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the government has provided relief to the citizens as 600 welfare schemes and services are made online. As a result of which the middlemen system has been eliminated and citizens can avail the benefits of the scheme while sitting at home. (editor dailyworld.in)
