DM Deoria conducts Udyog Bandhu meeting

category Regional, deoria, , tags Regional, deoria, , DW BUREAU Deoria Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh, a meeting of Udyog Bandhu was organized at Gandhi Auditorium located in Vikas Bhavan today. In the meeting, the District Magistrate gave necessary guidelines to convert the intent of investment received in the district into ground reality during the Global Investors Summit. He informed that 46 investment proposals worth Rs 762 crore in the district are in the final stages of the process of getting on the ground. This will provide direct employment to 2275 people. They will be included in the groundbreaking ceremony to be held in the coming month of September. The inter-departmental committee is constantly monitoring the remaining investment proposals. A review meeting will be held on every Monday to remove the bottlenecks by the investors. He also informed that 296 proposals worth Rs 2053 crore have been received for investment in the district during the Global Investors Summit held in February. Each proposal is monitored by the departmental nodal officer. The DM said that the district administration is fully committed to the industrial development of the district. In the meeting, the District Magistrate requested all the district entrepreneurs to register under the Factory Act-1948. He told that all such factories where 20 workers are engaged in the manufacturing process using electricity on any one day in the last 12 months or come under the 23 listed categories like rice mill, and petrol pump under Section 85 of the Factories Act, will be included in the Factories Act. Registration will be mandatory. For this, they have to apply on the online Nivesh Mitra portal. Here they can register themselves by uploading 13 types of documents. The District Magistrate requested all the entrepreneurs of the said category to register themselves under the Factory Act, 1948 by June 5. He said entrepreneurs get linked to eight welfare schemes of the Central Government as soon as they register. The District Magistrate said that such plots should also be identified in Industrial Estate Gauri Bazar Salempur on which enterprises have not yet been established. Allotment of all such plots will be cancelled and land will be made available to new investors. Expressing deep displeasure over the unnecessary delay in drain construction in Industrial Estate Deoria and being out of the district limits without permission, the District Magistrate directed the Executive Engineer Construction Section Manoj Pandey to deduct one day s salary and write a letter to the government for disciplinary action.
