Addressing the gathering at the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that years ago, Prajapati Brahma created the universe with panchamahabhutas ? which inherit the properties of earth (prithvi), water (jala), fire (tejas), wind (vayu) and space (akasha). Bhagwan Brahma's son Daksha Prajapati used these elements to create pottery. Thus, Maharaja Daksha Prajapati was the first artist among humans, and potters are considered his descendants.
The Chief Minister said that the invention of the chaak further advanced the pottery art. Making pottery is not just an art but also reflects the artistic thinking, skill, and craftsmanship of Prajapati. He emphasized that in today's era of globalization, quality, skill, and art are of special importance. However, with the advent of plastic and glass utensils in the age of science, the demand for earthenware has decreased significantly.
