Cleanliness drive marks Environment Day at RBU

DW BUREAU / Mohali A cleanliness drive was organized by the students and staff of the Rayat Bahra University here today in celebration of the World Environment Day. The theme of the celebrations was Towards a Cleaner Environment and Strong Democracy and the drive was undertaken under Swachhta Action Plan. Tree plantation campaign was inaugurated by Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, along with chief coordinator Prof AS Chahal and Dr Simerjit Kaur, Dean of Student Welfare, BS bains Director (administration) and Dr Kavita, NSS programme officers. Cleanliness drive by NSS volunteers included picking up waste papers, wrappers, and cleaning of the whole campus. Dr Parvinder Singh congratulated the NSS volunteers and appreciated the work done by them. (editor@dailyworld.in)
