Badnore releases book on Maharana Pratap

A book entitled 'Maharana Pratap: Apex of Chivalry and Heroics' published by Maharana Pratap Chair, Punjabi University was released by Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore during a webinar conducted on the occasion of the 481st birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap.
The webinar was jointly organized by Maharana Pratap Chair, Punjabi university, Bhopal Nobel's university, Udaipur, Aadawal Rajasthan Sahitya Mahasabha, Mewar Kashtria Mahasabha Sansthan Udaipur and Akhil Bhartiya Kashtriya

Speaking on the occasion, VP Singh Badnore said that he is delighted to know that Maharana Pratap commands a great respect in Punjab as his bravery and heroic songs are sung here too in the form of Vaars and this depicts a strong cultural bonding between the people of both the states.
Praising the book by Maharana Chair of Punjabi University, he said that the Chair has been strengthening its academic research activities about the cultural linkages between both the states with the special reference of Maharana Pratap, which is highly commendable.
He hoped that this book will be useful for historians, research scholars and academicians working on the history and cultures of Mewar, Punjab and Rajasthan in particular and history of India in general.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Arvind, while attending the webinar, spoke about the strong cultural ties between Punjab and Rajasthan. He said that Punjabi University has been continuing its academic activities to strengthen the cultural and historical linkages between the two states.
Dr Mohammad Idris said that the Maharana Pratap Chair, established in the Department of History, Punjabi University, has been conducting continuous research on this subject. He said that this is the first publication in book form which contains research articles by 16 different scholars.
Dean of Academic Affairs, Punjabi University Dr Balbir Singh Sandhu also joined the webinar. Other dignitaries who attended included Alok Pandey, key speaker Bajrang Singh Rathore, Keniya, Ashok Singh Mitwala Udaipur and Dr Shivden Singh Jolawas. A large number of scholars from various countries participated in this event.
