DW BUREAU / Chandigarh Air Marshal Manvendra Singh on Tuesday met Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan and apprised him about the Agnipath scheme. On this occasion, Air Marshal Singh also presented a souvenir and a memento of the Training Command of the Indian Air Force. Giving detailed information about the Agnipath scheme, Air Marshal Manvendra Singh said that the army culture will develop among the youth of Agniveer and if they are fully disciplined during four years, they will play the role of responsible citizens of the country. The Air Marshal said that out of the total recruited Agniveers, 25 per cent would be permanently absorbed in the regular defence forces, who would get all kinds of facilities related to promotion. He said that while the Agnipath scheme will give a new boost to the future and career of the youth. It will instill the spirit of patriotism in the younger generation.
