1641 units of blood collected at camps at 25 places

Competent Foundation with the help of various blood banks and organizations collected a total of 1641 units of blood by organizing blood donation camps at eight in Chandigarh, five in each state of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and one each in UP and Delhi.
Appreciating the efforts of the blood donation camps, he said that the Coronavirus is the biggest enemy of the world, country and society. Along with Govt efforts, the contribution of social workers like Tandons can't be overseen which helps to make our nation as 'Nirog Bharat'. Union Minister of State for Food Processing and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel earlier in the session praised the contribution being made by the third generation of Tandon family for the upliftment of the society and said that their efforts would certainly be helpful for a healthy India.
Within a short span, the centre government is gearing up to vaccinate about 700 million people, the world's largest Covid vaccination campaign is moving towards its success. This was stated by Union Housing and Urban Affairs and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri during the inaugural session of 25 different blood donation camps in northern India being organized to mark the birthday of politician and social worker Sanjay Tandon on Friday.
After the inaugural session, Sanjay Tandon donated blood for the 36th time. His three sons ? Satyam, Saransh and Shiven also donated the blood. In his address, he said that he had donated blood for the first time on his 18th birthday on the request of his father Late Balramji Das Tandon, after which continued with his spree. He informed that his Competent Foundation has been organizing blood donation camps twice a year on a large scale in April and September. He said his endeavor is to strengthen this campaign by increasing the scope of this event every year. Despite Corona last year, in September, the foundation collected 778 blood units by organizing blood donations at ten places.
