India, Afghanistan to boost cooperation

New Delhi, March 24 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday discussed over phone the evolving situation due to Covid-19 pandemic and reaffirmed their commitment to boost cooperation. "The Prime Minister and the Afghanistan President discussed the evolving situation in the region, particularly in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and reaffirmed their commitment to boost cooperation," a government statement said. In over 15-minute talks, they discussed steps being taken to contain the spread of Covid-19. They also exchanged Navroz greetings noting that the festival symbolised the shared heritage and cultural links between the two countries. /IANS
